The primary element with our Fall Clean-Up is leaf removal. Colorful leaves are beautiful to look at when they are on the trees but they're not so pretty when they are piled up on your lawn after a few weeks of decay and compression. Additionally, the excess leaves can restrict sunlight, nutrients and water from reaching your lawn. As a result, your lawn can suffer from disease, insects and overall stress, so removal of leaves in November and December is quite important in central Ohio.

Leaf removal can consist of a basic plan where we pile the leaves on the curb for the city or refuse collection crew to remove or we can remove the leaves for you.

Another aspect of Fall Clean-Up is the trimming of existing plants and the "knocking down" of perennials, especially the ornamental grasses. This element will leave your landscaping and lawn looking clean and tidy and will allow the vegetation to come back next year unhindered.

Spring Clean-Up

Our spring clean up service is very important for a healthy lawn in the spring and summer months.

The basic spring cleanup spruces up your lawn by removing all leaves, sticks, and garbage and then hauled off site. This includes any seasonal plants or perennials that were left from the previous year. We will repair any snowplow damage to your turf or beds as well as re-define or edge the landscape beds which is important for mulch and to create a manicured look. This is also a good time to have mulch installed as well.

Additionally we can dethatch your lawn, where a vertical mower cuts through the thatch and brings it to the surface, we will then pick up the material and haul it away. If thatch in your lawn is too thick your lawn will not adequately absorb water. Contact us to see if you have a thatch problem.

Finally, it is also important to apply a pre-emergent weed control this time of year, as well as fertilizer.
